Charleston Golden Eagles drop close contest against Seton Hill with former Liberty standout Devin Fletcher pitching

At 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 22, Devin Fletcher, a former Liberty High School star, took the mound for the Charleston Golden Eagles, who fell 9-8 in their NCAA Division II baseball matchup against the Seton Hill Griffins.

The matchup took place at Welch Athletic Complex and marked the third time this season the teams faced each other. The Golden Eagles also lost their previous meeting on Saturday, Feb. 21, by a score of 13–3.

Fletcher pitched five innings, giving up three earned runs with two walks and three strikeouts.

Charleston’s next contest is set for Saturday, March 7, at 2 p.m. against Shepherd Rams at Fairfax Field.
