At 1 p.m. on Sunday, March 15, the Charleston Golden Eagles, featuring former Liberty High School standout Devin Fletcher, were defeated 12-1 by the West Liberty Hilltoppers in their NCAA Division II baseball matchup.

The teams faced off at Kovalick Field in their first contest of the season.

Fletcher pitched one inning, allowing six earned runs and issuing three walks.

The Golden Eagles are set to play again on Saturday, March 21, at 4:30 p.m. against the Frostburg State Bobcats at Welch Athletic Complex.
