U.S. Congressman Ryan Mackenzie recently took to social media to express his thoughts on significant national matters. Through a series of tweets, Mackenzie addressed topics ranging from patriotic celebrations to grave concerns about political violence.
On June 14, 2025, Congressman Mackenzie commemorated the American flag, stating, “Today we honor the American flag—a lasting symbol of our nation’s history, freedom, and unity since 1777. We salute all those who have served under our banner.” This message was shared in recognition of Flag Day, a day dedicated to celebrating the adoption of the United States flag.
Later that same day, at 16:00 UTC, Mackenzie extended birthday wishes to the U.S. Army on its milestone anniversary. He tweeted, “Wishing a happy birthday to the US Army, which has faithfully defended our nation for 250 years. Thank you to all of the men and women who have served and sacrificed for our nation through the centuries.” The U.S. Army’s establishment dates back to June 14, 1775.
In a more somber tone later that evening at 20:54 UTC, Mackenzie expressed his distress over recent violent events in Minnesota. He wrote, “Deeply disturbed by last night’s murders targeting lawmakers in Minnesota. Political violence of this nature is a serious threat to our democracy and our way of life, and we all have a role to play in opposing it. My prayers are with the victims and their families.” These comments were made following reports of an attack that resulted in fatalities among state legislators.
