Kailey Turpening, previously a standout at Freedom High School, took the court on Saturday, February 28, contributing to the Embry-Riddle FL Eagles’ 87-85 victory against the Saint Leo Lions.
The senior guard, standing at 5-foot-8, delivered 10 points, nine rebounds and eight assists across 36 minutes of play.
Turpening was joined by another former Lee Network PA athlete, Anye’ Staton, who also appeared for the Eagles on Saturday.
Staton, a 5-foot-11 junior forward out of Easton Area High School, added 10 points, five rebounds and one assist in 12 minutes of play.
