Football team expenditures accounted for 15.5% of the university’s total sports budget in 2024, amounting to $6,675,379.

Since 2010, Lehigh University has seen a 116.5% increase in its average sports spending.

College football is one of the biggest sports in the U.S., with some college teams eclipsing NFL teams in terms of attendance and profit.

College athletics has entered a new era of athlete compensation after a federal settlement allowed schools to directly share revenue with players for the first time.
