On Sunday, March 2, former Freedom High School standout Jen Slanovec’s current college team, the UMass-Lowell River Hawks, won 6-5 in their NCAA Division I softball game against the Norfolk State Spartans.

The game took place at NSU Softball Field. This was their third matchup against the Spartans this season.

The River Hawks’ next game is scheduled for Friday, March 7 at 6 p.m. at Cathi Maynard Park against Austin Peay Lady Govs.
