U.S. Congressman Ryan Mackenzie, representative for Pennsylvania’s 7th Congressional District, recently shared updates on his official social media regarding community health, local law enforcement, and the contributions of Irish Americans.

On March 16, Mackenzie posted about receiving an award from a national healthcare organization: “Honored to receive the Distinguished Community Health Center Advocate Award from the National Association of Community Health Centers. Community health centers play a vital role in helping families access affordable, quality care, and I’m grateful to support the work they do https://t.co/if7ohmTxFO”.

The following day, he recognized local law enforcement efforts: “Proud to recognize Officer Joshua Hobson of the Bethlehem Police Department on the House floor. His actions are a reminder of the dedication, professionalism, and compassion our local law enforcement show every day across the Lehigh Valley and the Poconos.

Thank you to Officer https://t.co/SHNihL7lp6” (March 17).

Also on March 17—St. Patrick’s Day—Mackenzie highlighted historical contributions by Irish Americans: “On this St. Patrick’s Day, we celebrate the contributions of Irish Americans, starting with their heroic service in the American Revolution. Irish Americans played a major role in the Revolution, and they’ve gone on to fight in every war in United States history — serving with https://t.co/z3hBXHAWlw https://t.co/rlKT5aI6r8”.

According to his official website, Mackenzie’s legislative focus includes healthcare improvements and support for community programs such as art competitions and grant assistance (http://mackenzie.house.gov/). He represents a district that covers Lehigh, Northampton and Carbon counties along with part of Monroe County. In addition to English-language constituent services, Spanish-language appointments are available at his Downtown Allentown office. During his tenure in public office—including previous service in Pennsylvania’s state House—he has worked on legislation related to workforce development, taxpayer protection, environmental conservation and veteran support.
