U.S. Congressman Ryan Mackenzie, representing the Greater Lehigh Valley, has recently expressed his gratitude and recognition for various community efforts through a series of tweets. His messages highlighted significant local events and commemorations.
On May 5, 2025, Congressman Mackenzie acknowledged National Small Business Week by recognizing the contributions of small businesses in the Greater Lehigh Valley. He tweeted: “During National Small Business Week, we recognize all of the incredible small businesses throughout the Greater Lehigh Valley who help make our region special. Thank you to the men and women who take risks, work hard, and invest in our communities.”
The following day, on May 6, 2025, he reported on a successful community event held in Lower Macungie aimed at safely disposing of sensitive documents. Mackenzie wrote: “Over 500 cars turned out this weekend to safely dispose of sensitive documents at our community shredder event in Lower Macungie. Thank you to State Rep. Gary Day, Lower Macungie Twp., and all the volunteers who helped make it a success!” This event was organized with collaboration from local officials and volunteers.
Later that day, Mackenzie also marked National Teachers Appreciation Day by paying tribute to educators within his constituency. In his tweet he stated: “On this National Teachers Appreciation Day, we recognize the educators who make a lasting impact on students and families across the Greater Lehigh Valley. As the son of a teacher and a member of the House Committee on Education and Workforce, I’m grateful to all those who are”
Ryan Mackenzie is currently serving as a U.S. Congressman for Pennsylvania’s 9th district which includes parts of Berks County.
