U.S. Congressman Ryan Mackenzie recently shared several updates on his official Twitter account, highlighting legislative achievements and community initiatives. These posts reflect his ongoing efforts in national security, local support for first responders, and addressing transportation issues.
On May 13, Mackenzie expressed pride in the passage of his first bill: “Proud of the passage of my first bill last week — the Solidify Iran Sanctions Act of 2025, which prevents critical sanctions against Iran from expiring in 2026. From my position on the House Foreign Affairs Committee, I’m working to strengthen national security and defend”. This legislation aims to maintain sanctions against Iran beyond their original expiration date.
The following day, May 14, he celebrated a local initiative with another tweet: “My office was proud to celebrate the launch of the Kidder Township First Responders Fund, which will support the local police, fire, and EMS teams who keep our communities safe. Congratulations!”. The fund is intended to provide financial support to essential emergency services personnel.
Later that same day, Mackenzie addressed regional transportation concerns: “Between the ongoing traffic problems on I-78 and 476, and the often dangerous pedestrian crossings in Allentown and Bethlehem, the Greater Lehigh Valley faces unique transportation challenges. This morning, I spoke before the Transportation and Infrastructure committee to request”. His remarks were made during a session with the Transportation and Infrastructure Committee.
