Census Bureau: 80% of people in Northampton County were old enough to vote in 2021

Of the 311,359 citizens living in Northampton County in 2021, 80% were old enough to vote, equating to 249,009 individuals, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained on Oct. 26.

Further breakdown reveals that of the voting-eligible population, 122,070 were male, constituting 49%, and 126,939 were female, making up 51%.

The percentage of citizens old enough to vote in Northampton County during 2021 was higher than the state average, which stands at 79.1%.
