FOIA Request to Bethlehem City Firemens Pension Fund Regarding Comprehensive Employee and Retiree Pension Data on September 20, 2024.

As part of our ongoing commitment to providing comprehensive and accurate news coverage on local governmental affairs, we at Northhampton News have sent a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request to the Bethlehem City Firemens Pension Fund. The request was made under the Pennsylvania Right to Know Law, 65 §66.1 et seq., and seeks access to detailed records pertaining to the organization's pension fund for the year of 2023.

Specifically, we have requested a list of all active employees and retired employees included in the pension fund. The data fields requested include last name, first name, middle name, date of birth, employer name, employment start date, employment end date, salary, compensation type, amount received from the pension fund in 2023, year of disbursement from the pension fund, process date of disbursement from the pension fund, last disbursement amount from the pension fund, disbursement frequency from the pension fund and contribution amount for 2023.

Our goal is to hold public institutions accountable and provide transparency to our readers. As such access to these public records is essential for us at Northhampton News.
