Rep. Milou Mackenzie has announced that more than $1.8 million in grant funding has been allocated for redevelopment projects in the 131st District through the Redevelopment Assistance Capital Program (RACP). The funding will support two significant projects.

Pennsburg Borough in Montgomery County is set to receive $847,850 for renovations to the borough hall and a nearby Public Works Garage. Planned improvements include roof repairs, new exterior cladding, better exterior lighting, and other necessary upgrades.

Upper Saucon Township in Lehigh County will be awarded $1 million to address needs at St. Michael the Archangel School. The project aims to enhance school security, modernize environmental facilities, and expand the facility due to increased enrollment over recent academic years.

"I'm grateful the 131st District is receiving this essential funding to improve our communities," said Mackenzie. "I am strongly in support of these projects because the renovations to Pennsburg Borough Hall and the public works garage will address critical needs for safety and functionality, while the improvements at St. Michael the Archangel School will enhance security, modernize facilities, and support expansion to meet growing enrollment."

The RACP is a Commonwealth grant program managed by the Office of the Budget that funds design, acquisition, and construction for regional economic, cultural, civic, recreational, and historical improvement projects.
