Kailey Turpening, a former standout at Freedom High School, contributed to the Embry-Riddle FL Eagles’ narrow 73-71 win against the Palm Beach Atlantic Sailfish on Wednesday, February 25.
The 5-foot-8 senior guard recorded eight points, seven rebounds and five assists while seeing the court for 36 minutes.
Wednesday’s matchup also featured another past Lee Network PA area athlete. Anye’ Staton saw action for the Eagles as well.
Staton, a 5-foot-11 junior forward from Easton Area High School, tallied six points, three rebounds and one steal during her 13 minutes on the floor.
Next, the Eagles are set to face the Saint Leo Lions on the road Saturday, February 28, with tipoff at 2 p.m.
