City of Easton issued the following announcement on July 26

County of Northampton Executive Lamont McClure today presented Easton Mayor Sal Panto, Jr. with a ceremonial check for a $50,000 Livable Landscapes grant award to kick off renovations to four of the city's pocket parks - Jackson, 7th St. Raspberry, and Bushkill parks in West Ward.

Last year, the city along with West Ward Community Initiative and Omnes solicited public input for 5 pocket parks in West Ward and 2 on South Side. Based on that feedback, a Vision Plan was developed and the search for funding to pay for the park upgrades began. This is one of several grant opportunities that the city has applied for.

We'd like to thank the County for its support of this initiative and its partnership on the project.  Go here to review the Vision Plan for all 7 parks: https://eastonpocketparks.com/
