East Allen recently issued the following announcement.
Zoning Amendment Request for 7111 Beth-Bath Pike
The East Allen Township Board of Supervisors will hold a public hearing on Wednesday September 8, 2021 regarding the request for both a zoning map and text amendment for 7111 Beth-Bath Pike, Bath, PA 18067, Tax Parcels L6-15-6 & L6-12-3 in August at the East Allen Township Building, 5344 Nor-Bath Boulevard, Northampton, PA 18067. The map amendment request is for the change of the current zoning district is Planned Commercial District – 2 (PC2) to the requested Agriculture Rural Residential (ARR).
The zoning text amendment is to consider language to amend the East Allen Township Code of Ordinances Zoning § 250-26 (((-315.))) E.(20)(c)(1) of Article III dealing with Conditional Use.
The request will allow the expansion of Age Qualified Residential Community by permitting a minimum of 25 acres to be required for the proposed use and allow for the use to be extended to areas within 200 feet of an existing retirement facility.
