Easton Farmers’ Market—America’s oldest continuous open-air market—is moving to Lafayette College this weekend.
For the first time in the 270-year history of Easton Farmers’ Market (EFM), the market will head up College Hill and bring its fresh local fare to Lafayette College’s Quad.
Students, faculty, and staff will find more than 40 vendors offering fruits and veggies, baked goods, breads, kombucha, prepared meals, and more, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 1.
The single-day move will accommodate Easton Garlic Fest, which will be held Oct. 1 and 2 in Downtown Easton.
“We see this as an opportunity to bring the freshness and local flavors of the Easton Farmers’ Market even closer to our College Hill and Lafayette College neighbors as well as to residents of the townships to our north,” says Megan McBride, EFM manager. “It’s a rare day when we have to move from our home, but after 270 years of continuous operation, you learn to be flexible and resilient. Best of all, I think we’ll see some new faces who will quickly become EFM regulars when we return downtown.”
The market will return to Larry Holmes Drive and Scott Park Oct. 8.

- How to pay: Vendors accept cash, credit, Venmo, PayPal, checks, and EBT.
- Parking: The College will offer free parking for the community in the Markle parking deck, in addition to street parking in College Hill.
- Easton Garlic Fest: Stock up on fresh produce and grab a tasty breakfast from EFM vendors on the Quad before you head down to Easton Garlic Fest, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Oct. 1 and 2 in Downtown Easton. Free admission • Rain or shine
