Pennsylvania Representative Milou Mackenzie (R-Lehigh/Montgomery/Northampton) has recently announced that several historical organizations in the 131st Legislative District have been awarded Cultural and Historical Support Grants by the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission (PHMC). These grants, totaling over $18,000, aim to provide general operating support to museums and official county historical societies that lack funding from other state agency programs.

The Northampton County Historical and Genealogical Society has been awarded $7,962, while the Lehigh County Historical Society, Inc. and the Historical Society of Montgomery County have received $6,909 and $4,000 respectively.
