Rep. Milou Mackenzie (R-Lehigh/Montgomery/Northampton) has announced a free document shredding event for residents of the 131st Legislative District scheduled for Saturday, May 4, at Hopewell Park in Center Valley. The event will take place from 10 a.m. to noon and aims to provide a secure disposal option for items containing sensitive information, such as bank accounts or Social Security numbers.

According to Rep. Mackenzie, "This event is intended for items that contain sensitive information, such as bank accounts or Social Security numbers." Additionally, there is a limit of four boxes and/or bags per household to ensure fair participation among attendees. She emphasized, "Please remove any paper or binder clips prior to the event. Staples are permitted."

The shredding event is exclusive to homeowners, with no businesses allowed due to limited capacity. Rain or shine, shredding services will be available on-site on a first-come, first-served basis. Residents are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity to securely dispose of their confidential documents.
