House GOP to hold hearing on Pennsylvania manufacturing workforce

State Representative Ann Flood | Pennsylvania 138th Legislative District

House Republican Policy Committee Chairman Joshua D. Kail (R-Beaver/Washington), Rep. Ann Flood (R-Northampton), and other lawmakers will hold a hearing titled “Manufacturing Momentum: Assembling PA’s Workforce” to discuss workforce challenges faced by manufacturers and potential solutions.

Chairman Kail, Rep. Flood, members of the committee, and several testifiers are scheduled to participate in the event. The testifiers include Michael Druckenmiller, vice president of Lehigh Heavy Forge; Blair Woodring, director of business development at Precision Custom Components; Nancy Dischinat, executive director of Workforce Board Lehigh Valley; and John Rhatigan, chairman of the Marine Machinery Association.

The hearing is set for Friday, Sept. 27, at 10 a.m. It will take place at Lehigh Heavy Forge Corporation located at 275 Emery St., Bethlehem, PA 18015. The session will be streamed online barring any technical difficulties.
