State Rep. Joe Emrick | Pennsylvania 137th Legislative District
Rep. Joe Emrick (R-Northampton) is set to host a Financial Aid Seminar on September 13 at 6:30 p.m. The event will take place in the Freedom High School Auditorium located in Bethlehem Township. Emrick extends an invitation to parents and students planning for higher education.
"Finances are a major consideration for many students and their families as they consider the burdens of student loan debt and what comes next after high school graduation," Emrick stated. He emphasized the importance of informed decision-making, saying, "When it comes to making these kinds of decisions, knowledge is power. I encourage everyone to take advantage of this opportunity to learn about the financial aid resources available to them."
The seminar will feature a guest speaker from the Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance Agency (PHEAA). Attendees can expect an overview of the process for applying for financial aid, which includes new changes starting with the 2024-25 academic year.
This free event does not require registration and is open to families and students of any age.
