Flood expressed satisfaction with the allocation: “I am pleased our local community has secured this critical funding. This substantial investment will help to repair and maintain crucial parts of our local infrastructure,” she stated. She emphasized the importance of efficient sewer and water systems for community well-being.
The grant distribution includes $189,786 for Bushkill Township to address stormwater infrastructure across 10 sites. Bangor Borough Authority received $600,000 for wastewater treatment plant improvements and an additional $150,000 for sewer main and pump station replacements in Bangor Borough and Washington Township.
