Rep. Ann Flood has announced that Forks Township will receive $1 million in state funding for the second phase of the Frutchey Hill Road Repair Project. The grant, provided through the Multimodal Transportation Fund, aims to improve safety and accessibility on the roadway for local residents.
"This grant will help ensure that Frutchey Hill Road remains safe and reliable for everyone who uses it," stated Flood. She emphasized that by improving infrastructure, daily commutes are enhanced, local businesses supported, and emergency services can respond more quickly. "These improvements will have a lasting positive impact on the 138th District," she added.
The project’s second phase will continue previous efforts to create a safer and more efficient road in Forks Township. The Multimodal Transportation Fund is designed to encourage economic development while ensuring a safe transportation system is available to Pennsylvania residents. Funds from this program can be used for various enhancements such as streetscape improvements, lighting, sidewalk enhancement, pedestrian safety measures, connectivity of transportation assets, and transit-oriented development.
