Rep. Milou Mackenzie has announced that The Seed Farm in Emmaus will receive $14,000 from Pennsylvania's Agricultural Innovation Grant Program. This funding is intended for the purchase of a rinse conveyor system to improve the farm's operations and sustainability.

Mackenzie expressed her support for The Seed Farm, stating, "I have been so happy to have visited The Seed Farm in the past and have been so impressed by the work that is being done there and the opportunities it affords to aspiring farmers."

The Seed Farm offers agricultural education and entrepreneurship training, helping new farmers establish successful businesses. Initially developed by Lehigh County and Penn State Cooperative Extension with a USDA grant, it continues to strengthen Pennsylvania's agricultural sector.

The Agricultural Innovation Grant Program aims to assist farms and agribusinesses in adopting advanced technologies and clean energy solutions. These innovations focus on conservation efforts, protecting soil and water resources, and increasing renewable energy use.
