Hecktown Fire Company issued the following announcement on April 8
In light of current events surrounding the COVID-19 Pandemic, the Hecktown Volunteer Fire Company will not be participating in any community events such as birthday parties, thank you’s to local businesses or any other celebrations of this type. Our mission is to protect the lives and property of those who live, work and travel through Lower Nazareth Township and neighboring communities. In order to maintain the continuity of our operation, we depend on our all-volunteer membership to provide emergency fire and rescue services. With the social distancing requirements set forth by the Governor, we are not bringing our members together for any situations other than emergency response
We do want to express our sincere appreciation for all of those who work in the Healthcare, EMS, Law Enforcement, Grocery, Utility, Delivery, Communications, Sanitation, and Public Service fields. These individuals are working every day to keep things running so that we can all live our lives as normally as possible under these trying conditions.
The members of the Hecktown Fire Company wish to thank everyone who has sent us messages of support during this time. Our organization stands ready to provide fire and rescue services to our community. We look forward to the end of this difficult time when we can get out into our community and show our appreciation in person. Thank you for your understanding in this matter.
