Rep. Zach Mako has announced that North Whitehall Township will receive a $300,000 grant from the Community Conservation Partnerships Program for Neffs Valley Park. This funding is sourced from various funds, including the Keystone and Environmental Stewardship funds, ATV and snowmobile restricted accounts, and federal Pennsylvania Recreational Trails funds.

Mako emphasized the importance of park and recreational opportunities in the Lehigh Valley. "The park and recreational opportunities in the Lehigh Valley make it a great place to live and visit," he said. He noted the increasing popularity of Frisbee golf and expressed satisfaction with the state's support for this project. "Frisbee golf has been growing in popularity. These updates will help with demand. I’m pleased the state was able to assist with funding this important project."

The allocated grant will facilitate several improvements at Neffs Valley Park, including renovating an access drive, constructing a parking area and pedestrian walkways, installing a pedestrian bridge, and implementing stormwater management measures.

The 183rd House District represented by Mako includes Lowhill and North Whitehall townships, Slatington Borough in Lehigh County, as well as Allen, East Allen, Lehigh and Moore (part) townships, along with Bath, North Catasauqua, Northampton and Walnutport boroughs in Northampton County.
