Grants totaling $920,000 have been awarded to Northampton County by the Commonwealth Financing Authority (CFA), according to Rep. Ann Flood of the 138th Legislative District. The funds are designated for enhancing transportation infrastructure and connectivity within the district.

Rep. Flood expressed her support for these projects, stating, "Infrastructure grants like these are critically important for maintaining and improving our district." She emphasized that such initiatives will improve residents' quality of life by maintaining essential community lifelines like roads, sidewalks, and bridges.

The grant allocations include $75,000 for Stockertown Borough's Lincoln Avenue reconstruction, $200,000 for Wind Gap Borough to replace the Male Road Bridge, and $225,000 for stormwater improvements in Plainfield Township along with Engler Road rehabilitation.

These projects are supported by Pennsylvania's Multimodal Transportation Fund. This state-level program aims to address diverse community transportation needs through improvements in roadways, bridges, transit facilities, pedestrian and bicycle infrastructure.
